Lindsay Lohan ends NY lawsuit over E-Trade baby ad
NEW YORK — Lindsay Lohan’s $100 million New York City lawsuit over an E-Trade television commercial is all over, baby.
A Manhattan court filing Monday says the “Mean Girls” movie star has withdrawn her case against the brokerage.
An E-Trade Financial Corp. spokeswoman says the case’s end marks a “business decision” for the firm. She won’t discuss the terms.
Lohan’s lawyer hasn’t returned a call seeking comment.
Lohan had claimed she was the implied target of jokes by babies talking about a “milkaholic” named Lindsay in an E-Trade Super Bowl spot this year.
The actress spent two weeks in jail in California this year after violating probation in cases stemming from 2007 arrests on charges of drug use and driving under the influence.
E-Trade called her claims meritless and noted she isn’t the world’s only Lindsay.
