TAIPEI - Taiwan’s High Court Friday reduced former president Chen Shui-bian’s life term to 20 years imprisonment as his family has given back some of the state funds he was accused of having embezzled, TV reports said.

The high court also cut the life term for Chen’s wife, Wu Shu-chen, who had also been found guilty of fraud and money laundering, to 14 years, cable TV channel TVBS said.
