Correction: Official Sues Self story
HARTFORD, Conn. — In a story May 18 about a lawsuit over the Connecticut secretary of state’s qualifications to serve as state attorney general, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the attorney general is the state’s top prosecutor. The attorney general has the authority to file civil lawsuits only; the chief state’s attorney prosecutes criminal cases.
