Schembechler son sues stepmom over financial trust
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The son of legendary Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler is suing his stepmother in Ohio over concerns about a trust her late husband created.
Glenn Schembechler III sued Kathryn Schembechler, his father’s third wife, in federal court Monday in Columbus, Ohio.
The lawsuit alleges that Kathryn Schembechler, of Boca Grande, Fla., is not providing Glenn Schembechler with quarterly statements about the trust that he’s entitled to. The lawsuit says at least $75,000 is involved.
Bo Schembechler died in 2006. Glenn Schembechler, of Worthington in suburban Columbus, was the only son of Bo and Millie Schembechler, the coach’s second wife.
Bo Schembechler married Kathryn in 1993. Kathryn didn’t have an attorney listed and the phone listing for her in Florida would not accept messages.
