Ex-Harrah worker: I was fired over Big Ben’s beef

RENO, Nev. — A former Harrah’s employee claims he was fired because Ben Roethlisberger complained to a hotel-casino’s manager that the worker demanded to see identification for a woman at the NFL quarterback’s table where they were drinking.

Alvaro Brito filed the lawsuit Sept. 25 against Harrah’s and its Lake Tahoe president John Koster. Brito is a former assistant manager at the Cabo Wabo Cantina.

The lawsuit does not name Roethlisberger. But it potentially has a connection to a separate lawsuit alleging the Steelers quarterback raped an ex-Harrah’s employee at the hotel and that Harrah’s covered it up.

The woman in that suit claims she didn’t report the alleged sexual assault because she was told another employee was being fired as a result of Roethlisberger’s restaurant complaint.
