NEW DELHI - The Supreme Court Wednesday stayed the Madras High Court order suspending senior counsel R.K. Chandramohan from the membership of the Tamil Nadu Bar Council and as its chairman.

The apex court bench headed by D.K. Jain stayed the order on the mentioning of the petition by senior counsel Mukul Rohtagi.

Chandramohan allegedly tried to influence Madras High Court judge R. Raghupathy to ensure bail to two men said to be linked to disgraced and former communications minister A. Raja.
