NEW DELHI - The Supreme Court was Wednesday informed that efforts for a patch up between former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have failed.

Modi’s counsel Ram Jethmalani told the apex court that attempts for a settlement, despite the best efforts, did not succeed.

The matter was adjourned and will come up for hearing Nov 11.

Modi is facing an inquiry for alleged financial irregularities in the IPL when he was at the helm of affairs.
