NEW DELHI - A retired bureaucrat Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking deferment of the Allahabad High Court verdict on the Babri Masjid/Ramnjamnabhoomi dispute in Ayodhya.

Ramesh Chandra Tripathi moved the apex court against the high court’s Friday order, turning down his plea for deferring the final verdict in the Ayodhya dispute.

The Lucknow bench of the high court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict on the title suit Sep 24.
