Grace attorneys: Mom wasn’t ambushed by interview
OCALA, Fla. — Attorneys for talk show host Nancy Grace say the mother of a missing toddler who appeared on her cable show in 2006 shortly before committing suicide had “talking points” for an interview and wasn’t ambushed on the show.
Grace’s attorneys say Melinda Duckett wasn’t taken by surprise in an interview about her missing 2-year-old son in a motion they filed asking a judge to throw out the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Duckett’s family.
The lawsuit accuses Grace, the host of a talk show on HLN, formerly CNN Headline News, of inflicting emotional distress on the 21-year-old mother with her questioning.
Duckett shot herself the day the taped interview was scheduled to broadcast.
The trial in federal court in Florida is set to start in August.

Nancy: I recently watch a documentary on Natalie Halloway on TV. Joran said she wanted to see the sharks in the night. He killed her that night and fed her to the sharks. That way there is no body. My opinion. |
