NEW DELHI - The Delhi High Court Friday issued notice to a media house for telecasting and publication of tapes and script of the purported conversation between Communication and IT Minister A. Raja and corporate lobbyist Niira Radia.
Justice V.K. Shali issued notice to the TV Today Group, which runs English news channel Headlines Today and publishes the daily Mail Today, asking it to reply to the suit filed by Radia seeking damages for broadcasting and publishing alleged defamatory content.
The application for injunction has been posted for further hearing May 17. The suit was filed on the ground of invasion of privacy, among other things.
The script was related to the purported conversation between Raja and Radia last year in which the minister is allegedly soliciting her help in ensuring a “good” portfolio for himself.
