UAE plans unified security system for crime prevention

DUBAI - Officials in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Thursday discussed a framework for a unified security system in the country, WAM news agency reported.

The directors of the criminal investigation departments participated in the meeting that was chaired by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, the chief of Dubai police.

The meeting discussed a roadmap for combating crimes as well as bringing the criminal investigation departments in each emirate under the interior ministry.

The need for most modern methods for combating crimes as well as the importance of community awareness on crime prevention was emphasised.
