VistaPrint says federal lawsuit dismissed
HOUSTON — VistaPrint, which sells business cards and other printed products, said Wednesday that a federal lawsuit against the company and two merchants that alleged violations of various laws has been dismissed by the court.
The suit had been filed in federal court in Texas.
The plaintiffs’ complaint alleged that the defendants had violated the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, and the Massachusetts Unfair Trade Practices Act in connection with certain third-party membership discount programs offered to VistaPrint customers on the company’s Web site.
On Aug. 18, the plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed VistaPrint Ltd. from the case. On Monday, the court dismissed all remaining claims against VistaPrint USA Inc. and the third-party merchants and ruled that the defendants had not violated any of the statutes or common law claims cited by the plaintiffs.
The company said it is pleased with the decision.

I hate Vista Print, they’ve ruined my small printing business and many other small companies. It’s a damn shame quality is yet again sacrificed upon the alter of cheap low-standard tat. |
