Supreme Court reserves order on Swamy petition

NEW DELHI - The Supreme Court Wednesday reserved its order on Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy’s petition seeking that the prime minister be directed to grant him sanction to prosecute former communication minister A. Raja over the 2G spectrum row.
The court granted seven days’ time to Attorney General G. Vahanvati to file an affidavit giving details of the cases pending with the government to proceed against Raja under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
