Police: Traffic stop leads to Phoenix drop house

PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a traffic stop has led to a drop house where 27 suspected illegal immigrants were staying.

Sgt. Steve Martos says officers who stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic infraction at about 11 a.m. Saturday questioned the people inside, who told them they had just arrived from Mexico and that other illegal immigrants were in a nearby house.

Martos says officers who went to the house found four women, one child and 22 men inside.
