Lahore, May 17 (ANI): Law experts have said that there is a possibility of police arresting Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik after sentences pronounced by an accountability court were restored by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday.
The experts said that Malik could be arrested if he failed to get bail from the court.
Speaking to Geo News on phone, Justice (retired) Wajihuddin said Rehman Malik has the right to go to Supreme Court against the high court’s verdict.
He said Malik would continue to hold his office if he succeeded in getting a stay order and bail from the apex court.
Legal expert S M Zafar said he would have to apply again for bail, failing which he could be arrested and sent to jail. (ANI)
