BANGALORE - A two-judge bench of the Karnataka High Court Monday gave a split verdict on the disqualification of 11 Bharatiya Janata Party legislators who had rebelled against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s leadership.

Chief Justice J.S. Khehar upheld the decision of Speaker K.G. Bopaiah to disqualify the legislators under the anti-defection law.

However, Justice N. Kumar quashed the Speaker’s decision.
