PATNA - For the first time the Bihar Human Rights Commission will teach hundreds of police officers about human rights and its violations.
Commission chairman Justice S.N. Jha said it will teach lessons on human rights and its violations to police and administrative officials here Jan 29.
“Police as well as administrative officials will learn about human rights and its violations at a special meeting,” Jha said.
In the first phase, police and administrative officials here will be taught. “The commission will teach the Patna commissioner, the inspector general of police, district magistrate, senior superintendent of police and the superintendent of police,” Jha said.
The commission will later teach the police and administrative officials of other districts.
“The commission’s main aim is to make them aware and sensitive about human rights,” Jha said.
In Bihar, human rights violations are reported regularly.
