DuPont reaches crop protection patent settlement
WILMINGTON, Del. — Chemical maker DuPont Co. said Wednesday it has reached a settlement agreement regarding crop protection blend patents.
Wilmington, Del.-based DuPont said it has entered into a royalty-bearing license agreement for the patents, which relate to a homogeneous blend technology that enables the efficient combination of different pesticides.
DuPont said the agreement confirms the validity of certain DuPont patents and settles litigation claims between it and Makhteshim Agan of North America Inc. regarding the U.S. patent.
DuPont shares gained 78 cents, or 2.3 percent, to $34.65 in morning trading.
