Girlfriend of Jackson doc finishes testifying
LOS ANGELES — The girlfriend of Michael Jackson’s personal physician has finished giving testimony before a grand jury in Los Angeles.
Joseph Low, the attorney for Nicole Alvarez, says his client spoke to the jury Thursday and briefly the day before.
He’s not allowed to discuss what Alvarez was asked, but says she was cooperative and gave testimony willingly.
Alvarez is the girlfriend of Dr. Conrad Murray, who is the target of an investigation into the Jackson’s June 25 death, which has been ruled a homicide. Court records say Murray told police he gave the pop superstar the powerful anesthetic propofol and other drugs in the hours before Jackson’s death.
Murray’s attorney has said the doctor didn’t give Jackson anything that “should have” killed him.
