Police again search home in Calif. kidnap case
ANTIOCH, Calif. — The mother of a girl who was kidnapped in 1988 says she hopes an investigation at the home of a couple charged in another Northern California abduction will lead to a resolution in her daughter’s case.
Sharon Murch said Tuesday that her hopes of finding out what happened to her daughter, Michaela Garecht, have never been higher.
Michaela was 9 when she was snatched. Police have been scouring the property of Phillip and Nancy Garrido for any links to her disappearance.
The Garridos are charged with kidnapping Jaycee Dugard in 1991. They have pleaded not guilty.
Dublin police are also scouring the property for clues in the 1989 disappearance of Ilene Misheloff.

Sharon Murch said Tuesday that her hopes of finding out what happened to her daughter, Michaela Garecht, “have never been higher.”
Michaela was 9-years-old when she was snatched outside a market.
Police have been scouring the property of Phillip and Nancy Garrido for any links to Michaela’s disappearance.
The Garridos are charged with kidnapping Jaycee Dugard in 1991 and holding her captive for 18 years in the backyard of the Antioch home.
They have pleaded not guilty.
Dublin police are also scouring the property for clues in the 1989 disappearance of Ilene Misheloff.
