Arris buys video technology from EG Technology
SUWANEE, Ga. — Broadband technology company Arris said Tuesday that it has bought patents and video processing technology for use on digital networks from EG Technology Inc.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Arris Group Inc. will now employ about 20 to 25 employees from EG Technology.
The Suwanee-based company said the technology complements its video products. The deal is not expected to affect per-share profit other than amortization of intangibles related to the acquisition.
Arris shares fell 11 cents to $13.15 in early afternoon trading.
