Two convicted drug traffickers hanged in Iran

TEHRAN - Two convicted drug traffickers have been hanged in southwestern Iran, the Fars news agency reported Sunday.

The two were hanged in a prison in the city of Ahvaz after their death penalties were confirmed by the Supreme Court, Fars said without giving the date of the execution.

Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking of drugs weighing more than 5 kg are among the crimes punishable by death in Iran.
