Registered Sex Offender Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexual Assault

FREMONT (GaeaTimes.com) Reportedly, a registered sex offender has been retained. The police suspect that he may have sexually assaulted a 2-year-old girl in a Union City retail store.

Eugene Ramos is 36 years old. He has been charged on Friday with committing a forcible lewd act with a child younger than 14, assault with intent to commit a sex crime and attempted intercourse or sodomy with a child younger than 10.

According to the Union City police, Ramos has sexually assaulted the girl Wednesday afternoon at a Dollar Tree Store while her grandmother and aunt were shopping in the next aisle.

Ramos did not enter a plea during his hearing Friday. Deputy public defender Kristen McCannon, the attorney representing him, refused to comment after the hearing.

Ramos is scheduled to return to court Monday at 9 a.m.
