LA sued for stopping Tiesto show after rave death

LOS ANGELES — Organizers of a Los Angeles rave that ended with the death of a 15-year-old girl are suing the city for canceling a concert it organized with electronic music artist Tiesto.

Insomniac Inc. filed the breach-of-contract lawsuit Friday against the city for canceling an October concert at the Convention Center.

The lawsuit seeks a court order allowing the concert to go on.

The city attorney’s office said Monday it is reviewing the lawsuit and would not comment.

Insomniac organized the Electric Daisy Carnival in June. The two-day stadium event was marred by the girl’s death from a suspected drug overdose and 118 arrests, mostly for drug possession.

But Insomniac says the Tiesto concert would be indoors and limited to adults.
