PERUGIA, Italy- Amanda Knox, an American student, awaits a verdict from Italian court on Friday, after a trial of one year. She is accused of brutally murdering her British roommate.

On Thursday, Amanda Knox told in a shaken voice, that she is scared of mask of assassin forced onto her while desperately pleading her innocence before the jury.

Knox and her co-defendant, Raffaele Sollecito of Italy, are charged with murder and sexual assault in the 2007 slaying of Meredith Kercher. The three were all studying in Perugia and Knox and Sollecito were dating at the time.

Italian law allows for suspects in serious crimes to be jailed even before indictment under certain circumstances. Both Knox and Sollecito, 25, have been jailed since shortly after the slaying.

The prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for both, including nine months of daytime solitary confinement for Knox and two months for Sollecito.

Amanda Knox is now walking on the rope of the circus of life. The verdict can come any moment and decides Amanda’s fate. We don’t know whether she is guilty or not, but from humanity ground, we don’t want an innocent to be sentenced death. Laws and rules of any country have the full right to give punishment, but before that a thorough investigation into the root the case has to be ensured.

What do you think? Does Amanda’s appeal sound convincing to you or you think this is just a crocodile cry ?
